Two Telangana National Killed In Chhattisgarh Encounter

Chhattisgarh/Hyderabad, Jan 21 (Maxim News): An encounter in the forests of Manipur Police Station on the Odisha border has become a sensation. 14 Naxals were killed in this encounter in the early hours of January 21.

The Union Home Ministry announced that they were killed in a gunfight between security forces and Naxals. Two of the 14 Naxals killed in the gunfight with security forces were from Telangana.

Maoist Party Central Committee member Paka Hanmantu alias Rajesh Tiwari is from Pullemia village in Chandur Mandal of Nalgonda district. Katta Ramchandra Reddy alias Vikalp from Koheda in Siddipet district also lost his life in this encounter.

The central and state forces have been combing the Dandaka forest of Kanchukota for the last two days, targeting the Maoists. In this context, a fierce exchange of fire took place between the Maoists and the security forces in the Mainpuri Police Station area on the Chhattisgarh-Odisha border.

The Maoist party suffered heavy losses in this firing that lasted for almost two days. A large number of Maoists were killed in this encounter. It is noteworthy that members of the Maoist party’s central committee were also among them.

The police have confirmed that Central Committee member and key party leader Chalapathi alias Ramachandra Reddy alias Jairam is also present. Chalapathi, who is currently a key leader in the Maoist party, is from the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

Various state governments have announced a reward of Rs. 1 crore on Chalapathi’s head. Officials have confirmed that 14 Maoists have been killed in this encounter so far and some others have been seriously injured. The death toll is likely to rise as firing continues at the scene. (Maxim News)
