Hyderabad, July 22: A 28 year old migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh was killed and another man sustained critical injuries after a speeding water tanker allegedly rammed their motorcycle near the Puppalaguda Toll Gate in Narsingi on Tuesday night.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Sushil Kumar, who was returning home with his friend Suresh after finishing work at Hafeezpet.
Police said the water tanker allegedly struck the motorcycle near the toll gate, leaving both riders seriously injured.
Sushil Kumar succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Suresh was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.
After hitting the motorcycle, the out of control tanker reportedly collided with a car and a scooter, causing further damage.
Narsingi police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
Officials are examining CCTV footage from the toll plaza to determine the exact cause of the crash and whether over speeding or negligence was involved.
