Hyderabad, August 25: US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor hosted a high level business roundtable at Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad.
US Consul General Laura Williams and Telangana Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu also attended the meeting.
The event brought together senior industry leaders from defence, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and technology sectors.
The discussions focused on expanding bilateral trade, strengthening supply chains and attracting investment across South India.
US India Business Ties Take Centre Stage
Ambassador Gor highlighted the growing economic partnership between the United States and India.
He said business partnerships were helping strengthen cooperation in defence, technology, life sciences and space.
He also referred to Mission 500, which aims to increase bilateral trade between the two countries to $500 billion by 2030.
Consul General Laura Williams highlighted South India’s growing role in the partnership.
She pointed to emerging cooperation in technology, data and critical minerals across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
The meeting also focused on market access and defence industrial cooperation.
Gor encouraged businesses to use initiatives such as the TRUST Initiative, Pax Silica, the US India COMPACT and the US India Strategic Mineral Recovery Initiative.
The dinner also marked the 250th anniversary of US independence.
