V Srinivas Goud Pays Floral Tribute to Telugu Author Subba Rao

Hyderabad, June 10: Tourism and Culture Minister V Srinivas Goud paid floral tributes to the portrait of Pydimarri Venkata Subba Rao, a popular Telugu author and known as the person who penned the National Pledge.
At a special programme organised at the Minister’s camp office here to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary author, Srinivas Goud said Pydimarri Venkata Subba Rao hailed from Anaparthy in Nalgonda district. The National Pledge written by Pydimarri Venkata Subba Rao played a crucial role in promoting love for the country and brotherhood among students in the early days.
As per Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s directions, tributes are being paid to popular writers, poets, authors, historians hailing from Telangana on their birth and death anniversaries, he said.
Mahabubnagar MP Manne Srinivas Reddy, TNGOs Central Committee president M. Rajender and others were present on the occasion.
