The previous KCR/BRS government announced that it has implemented the Mission Bhagiratha scheme 100 percent, thereby providing safe drinking water to every household in the state. Due to this, the situation of getting funds under the Central government scheme ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ has gone. Many areas and families in the state do not have access to protected fresh water at the field level.
On the other hand, towns and cities are expanding. Protected fresh water should be provided to those areas. In this context, the opinion expressed in the meeting of the Council of Ministers is that the correct decision is to make a committee to know the actual situation. It is reported that the leaders said that central funds can be obtained if a report is made on the actual situation. (Maxim News)
