Vinod Slams Cong, BJP Leaders For Making False Comments On Central Funds To TS
Hyderabad, Feb.12 (Maxim News): Planning Commission deputy chairman B Vinod Kumar said Congress and BJP leaders for their comments on funds from Centre. “Telangana is surplus State and loans and expenditures are not beyond the bar”, he said.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Vinod Kumar slammed the Centre for failing to release necessary funds for development of the State. “These parties should realize the facts and their leaders open their eyes”, he suggested. Alleging that the Centre was showing partiality towards the infant State on giving funds, he reminded that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said in Parliament that it gave Rs 1.5 lakh crore to Telangana State in six years. Stating that nothing more has come from the Centre, he said the two national parties were resorting to mud-slinging on the TRS Government.
“The Opposition parties should talk the facts and not vague comments. Better they stop Gobles campaign keeping in view the facts revealed by the Union Finance Miniser”, he suggested. The Centre ignored to give funds for flagship programs in Telangana, he said. Though the Niti Ayog made some recommendations, including Rs 24,000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya programs, Vinod said the Centre had released only Rs 450 crore for backward districts.
