Hyderabad: Virat Kohli smashed a brilliant unbeaten century as Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by six wickets in the Indian Premier League 2026 match at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on Wednesday.
Kohli played a match winning knock of 105 runs from just 60 deliveries and guided Bengaluru to victory in a high scoring contest.
Chasing 193 runs, RCB completed the target comfortably with six wickets in hand after Kohli anchored the innings with aggressive stroke play and controlled batting.
RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and elected to bowl first against KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane.
Raghuvanshi Anchors KKR Innings
Batting first, KKR posted 192 for 4 in 20 overs.
Young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi top scored for Kolkata with a composed 46 off 71 deliveries.
Rahane and other middle order batters provided useful contributions, while hitters like Rinku Singh and Rovman Powell accelerated during the final overs.

However, RCB bowlers managed to restrict Kolkata below the 200 run mark despite the strong platform.
Kohli Leads Clinical Chase
RCB started the chase confidently with Kohli taking charge from the early overs.
He built partnerships with Jacob Bethell and Patidar before accelerating in the middle overs.
Kohli reached his century with a series of boundaries and sixes, bringing the Raipur crowd to its feet.
The veteran batter paced the innings perfectly and ensured there were no major setbacks during the chase.
Contributions from Jitesh Sharma and Tim David further helped Bengaluru close out the match comfortably.
The victory strengthened RCB’s playoff push in IPL 2026, while KKR suffered another setback in the race for qualification.
