Waqf Umeed Portal | Hyderabad, Nov 4 (Maxim News): The Waqf Umeed Portal in Telangana has achieved a significant milestone by registering 4,222 checkers in record time, demonstrating rapid progress in the digitization of Wakf properties.
This achievement comes under the supervision of CEO Md Asadullah, supported by a dedicated team including Assistant Secretaries Munawar Ahmed, Faruq Arifi, and Mohammad Ali, alongside Master Trainers Rahman Khan, Yousuf Pasha, Md Ghouse, and Abdul Razzaq.
The Umeed Portal is a central digital platform launched by the Government of India aimed at transparent and efficient management of Wakf properties.
Waqf Umeed Portal
Its implementation in Telangana has seen focused efforts from the Waqf Board’s leadership to train and equip personnel with the skills necessary to upload detailed data concerning Wakf assets.
The portal streamlines data entry through a tiered architecture that involves makers, checkers, and approvers to ensure accuracy and prevent errors or misuse.
The Telangana Wakf Board has intensified awareness and training programs across districts, sensitizing inspectors, auditors, and local caretakers (mutawallis) to the portal’s requirements.
As a result, the state has positioned itself as a fast mover in the nationwide effort to digitize Waqf property records.
The digitization effort covers a wide range of Wakf assets such as mosques, graveyards, dargahs, and other religious and charitable properties spanning thousands of acres.
Building on this momentum, the board is set to organize another Umeed Portal Registration Camp at Qaudri Chaman on November 11, 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm.
The event will be held under the guardianship of waqf board elected member Maulana Syed Shah Akbar Nizamuddin Hussaini and the Majlis Ulema E Deccan Hyderabad & Secunderabad.
The Waqf Board IT team will be present to assist registrants and provide technical support to ensure seamless registration and data uploading.
This campaign exemplifies the Telangana Waqf Board’s commitment to preserving, managing, and enhancing the utility of Waqf properties via digital transformation, thereby promoting transparency, accountability, and optimal asset use for the welfare of stakeholders and the community.
