Warangal Police arrests Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad, Aug.23 (Maxim News): Assistant Commissioner of Police, Wardhannapet Division, Warangal Commissionerate has directed State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, MP, Padayatra pramukh Dr G Manohar Reddy, G Premendar Reddy and Dugyala Pradeep Kumar to immediately stop the Praja Sangrama Yatra, otherwise action will be taken as per law for the maintenance of the peace and tranquillity in the district.

The ACP, in a notice to the BJP leaders Dr G Manohar Reddy, G Premendar Reddy and Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, has stated that they were conducting the Praja Sangrama Yatra in the limits of Jangaon District of Warangal Commissionerate without permission from the competent authority. It also came to his notice that the BJP leaders repeatedly giving provocative statements during the yatra and planning to organize ‘Dharam Deeksha’ in the limits of Warangal Commissionerate, and mobilizing huge crowds from other districts too.

“In view of your provocative statements and planned Deeksha with huge gathering from other districts, there is apprehension of breach of peace in the area resulting in serious Law and Order problem. Hence, you are directed to immediately stop the Praja Sangrama Yatra, otherwise action will be taken as per law for the maintenance of the peace and tranquility in the district”.

No question of stopping padayatra: BJP leaders

Reacting to the notice, Padayatra pramukh Dr G Manohar Reddy, G Premendar Reddy and Dugyala Pradeep Kumar stated they would not stop the Padayatra under any circumstances. They asserted that they were organizing the padayatra in three phases with prior permission of the police.
Questioning as to why the police were raising objections now, they reiterated that they would continue the program what may come. As per schedule, they said, they would continue the padayatra up to the Sri Bhadrakali temple.

Asserting that they would organize huge public meeting at Hanamkonda on August 27, they said the BJP national president J P Nadda would be attending the meeting. (Maxim news)
