Inauguration of Chandrayangutta flyover postponed

Hyderabad, Aug.23 (Maxim News): The inauguration of the Chandrayangutta flyover that slated to be held on Tuesday has been postponed. According to officials, the flyover with extended parts is now expected to be inaugurated on August 27.

The existing Chandrayangutta flyover was of 400 metres, and another 674 metres have been added. The total length of the facility, now a four-lane bi-directional flyover with a width of 16.6 metres, is now 1.07 km.

Out of 41 works taken up under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), with the inauguration of Chandrayangutta extended flyover, 30 projects have been completed and works on 11 other projects are progressing.

Under the SRDP, so far, 15 flyovers have been completed easing traffic problems in the GHMC limits. (Maxim News)
