Kolkata, june 24 (Maxim News): A major accident has taken place in West Bengal. Dozens of workers were trapped under the rubble after a warehouse under construction collapsed. The accident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Kolkata’s Ghatala. According to locals, the warehouse was under construction in Ghatala. Around 50 workers were working in the warehouse on Wednesday. The warehouse collapsed in the afternoon. All the workers were trapped under the rubble.
The locals who noticed this immediately took up rescue operations. Efforts were made to bring out those trapped under the rubble. Now, upon receiving information, the police, rescue team personnel and soldiers reached the spot. Rescue operations were carried out. It seems that 7 people have been brought out safely so far. Efforts are being made to cut the warehouse beams with the help of gas cutters and bring out the rest. (Maxim News)
