Internet/Hyderabad, june 24 (Maxim News): There is a tragedy in the house of legendary Pakistani cricketer and Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar. His elder brother Shahid Akhtar has passed away. Akhtar himself shared this news with his fans through his social media account. According to local media reports, Shahid Akhtar died on Tuesday at midnight.
“My beloved brother Shahid Akhtar has passed away. I am deeply saddened by his passing,” Akhtar wrote in an emotional post. Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif also confirmed the news. He said on Facebook that the funeral prayers will be held at the H-8 cemetery and that people should pray for the peace of Shahid’s soul. However, the cause of Shahid Akhtar’s death is yet to be revealed.
Akhtar lost his mother almost five years ago, in 2021. At that time, Shahid Akhtar was there for Akhtar. Now, with the loss of his elder brother as well, the Akhtar family is in deep sorrow. As soon as this news came to light, many former Pakistani cricketers and sports fans from all over the world expressed their deepest condolences to Akhtar’s family through social media.
