Polling for the Jubilee Hills by-election is underway with voters steadily turning out to cast their ballots. Congress candidate Naveen Yadav marked his participation by voting alongside his family members, demonstrating his commitment to the democratic process. His act of voting attracted attention and underscored the importance of the election within the constituency.
The Jubilee Hills by-election has drawn significant interest from candidates and their supporters, with all candidates participating actively in the voting process. By 11 am, a turnout of 20.76 percent was recorded, and voting continues peacefully across 407 polling stations set up across 139 areas. A total of 4,01,365 eligible voters are registered for this election, which has 58 candidates contesting, including Naveen Yadav from Congress, Sunitha from BRS, and Lankala Deepak Reddy from BJP.
Authorities have taken necessary steps to ensure that polling proceeds smoothly. The Election Commission, along with police forces, is closely monitoring the situation. Security arrangements include the deployment of 1,761 police personnel, supported by 800 central forces. For the first time, drones are being used extensively to oversee the polling operations and maintain law and order. Section 144 has been implemented near polling stations to prevent any disturbances.
Voters in Jubilee Hills are encouraged to exercise their voting rights peacefully, and the authorities continue to facilitate the election with all necessary precautions. The by-election is viewed as a crucial political event with close competition among key candidates.
