According to the police, the Rajendranagar Special Operations Team carried out the raid at a chicken shop located in Suleman Nagar. During the operation, officers detained Mohammed Irfanuddin, who was allegedly involved in the illegal sale of deer meat. Police officials said the action followed credible inputs about unlawful wildlife trade in the area. Therefore, the team moved quickly to prevent further sale of protected animal meat.

During the search, the police seized around 15 kilograms of deer meat from the accused. They also recovered a deer skin and a deer head from the premises. In addition, officers seized ₹3,500 in cash, which police believe was linked to the illegal sale. Meanwhile, officials stated that such seizures are crucial to stopping the spread of wildlife crimes in urban areas.

Police officials said the accused had allegedly procured the deer meat from Pebberu and transported it to the city. Later, the meat was reportedly slaughtered locally. It was then sold to customers at the rate of ₹800 per kilogram. According to the police, this method allowed the accused to supply deer meat discreetly while avoiding early detection.
