WATCH | Group 1 Aspirants Caned At Ashok Nagar
Hyderabad, Oct 18 (Maxim News): Mild tension prevailed when the police used force and resorted to lathi charge on the Group 1 aspirants who took out a rally demanding the government to reschedule the main exams, at Ashok Nagar on Friday.

Several aspirants from the coaching institutions in the vicinity and others across the city gathered at Ashok Nagar crossroad and started a rally towards Indira Park. They marched forward holding placards and raising slogans demanding the postponement of the exams.
The police personnel deployed at the spot stopped them as they did not have any prior permission to stage a protest. Following a confrontation between the police and the protestors, the police dispersed the protestors and crowd using lathis.

The aspirants are demanding to reschedule the examination to be conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission on October 21.
They have been protesting against the GO 29 issued by the TSPSC earlier this year, which introduced changes to the selection process for the Group-1 services. their primary concern revolved around the 1:50 selection ratio.
They expressed concerns about the fairness of the exam process under the current selection criteria and urged the State government to rectify the issue in the recruitment procedure. (Maxim News)
