Hyderabad, Sept 26 (Maxim News): There is a high-tension atmosphere in the Musi catchment areas of Hyderabad. Locals blocked the survey conducted by the authorities to remove the encroachments.

Some residents snatched the survey documents from the officials and tore them. A heated argument took place between the officials and the residents. Officials tried to mark the walls but were stopped. Due to this, tense situations prevailed in the Kothapet, Maruthi Nagar, and Satyanagar areas. Due to this, the officials had to turn back without conducting the survey.

Locals say that they have no intention of vacating their houses. The authorities are expressing anger that the full tank level and buffer zones are being decided arbitrarily. They say that they have been staying here for years.

No matter how much rain comes, water does not enter their colonies. They say that even their fathers and grandfathers did not tell them about the floods. They demanded that the government take back its decision.
