Hyderabad, Sept 12 (Maxim News): It is known that a child fell into an open manhole in Yakutpura, Hyderabad on Thursday (September 11). There was widespread criticism that the negligence of the sanitation staff was the reason for this incident.
HYDRA Commissioner AV Ranganath gave an explanation on the incident. He said that an investigation has been conducted into the manhole incident. HYDRA is fully responsible for this incident. Commissioner Ranganath said that the negligence of the Monsoon Emergency Team in-charge is the reason for this incident. Strict action will be taken against those responsible.
Ranganath said that necessary steps will be taken to close the manhole covers, In Yakutpura, a child fell into the drainage while going to school due to the drainage cover being left open. However, the accident was averted as the child’s mother and locals immediately noticed and rescued the child who fell into the manhole. The victims were furious with those who left the manhole open.
It was okay since there was no accident, but what if something had happened to the baby by mistake? The Water Board officials have already warned that a criminal case will be registered if the manhole cover is opened, and the accused will face fines and sometimes e3ven jail time.
