Hyderabad, March 15 (Maxim News): Union minister of state G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday claimed that the central government was extending liberal help to all red gram farmers of the state. Citing that the red gram farmers are facing so many problems, he said that the central government had bought 51626 metric tonnes of red gram to help them.
He alleged that the state government had not even bought a single tonne of the red gram from its farmers. He claimed that the farmers had faced losses by selling their produce to middle men. He asked the state government to set up a revolving fund to avoid losses to the farmers. He also said that their government had bought 20 lakh metric tonnes of cotton from the farmers of the state. Reddy took exception to the comments made by the central government and claimed that the central government was extending liberal help to the state. (Maxim News)
