We Need Rann Neeti, Not Raj Neeti: CM KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao called for Rann Neeti (battle plan) but not Raj Neeti (politics) while dealing with China in the wake of skirmishes along the India-China border.

He wanted the Centre to step cautiously without compromising in the matters of national security and interests. He suggested to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to adopt both short-term and long-term strategies to counter China.

“We will stand by the Centre during these times. Considering a stable governance in the country and emergence as economic power, China is using such tactics. We must stand united and support our armed forces,” he asserted.

Chandrashekhar Rao who is also president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, participated in the All Party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via video conference from Pragathi Bhavan here, to discuss the conditions along the India-China border and take a firm stand on the issue.

He pointed out that China and Pakistan have a habit of creating a confrontational environment on the border when their countries are facing internal problems. He said due to its internal problems, China adopted similar strategy and facing conflicts with South China’s coastal countries such as Malaysia, Philippines and Japan. “China’s attitude has become very infamous all over the world,” the Chief Minister said.
