Sangareddy/Hyderabad, May 4 (Maxim News): BRS Executive President KTR has lashed out at the Congress government for harassing farmers until they die after coming to power. He expressed his anger that the government has not purchased the groundnut crop even after a month. He said that farmers have not been properly assured. Speaking in Sadashivapeta, Sangareddy district on Monday, KTR criticized the leaders of this government for cheating the farmers by saying that they will buy all the crops.
KTR reminded that during the tenure of CM KCR, Rythu Bandhu was issued 11 times. He said that this government’s idea is not to purchase paddy. On this occasion, he criticized the government’s attitude, saying that no crop is being purchased properly in the state. He said that while 95 lakh metric tons of paddy had to be purchased, only 9 lakh metric tons of paddy have been purchased. He said that the purchase centers have not been opened yet. KTR slammed the Congress government for its aim of making paddy available to middlemen.
The BRS working president alleged that there was a huge scam in the Civil Supply Corporation. He explained that this is why the grain purchases are going on at a snail’s pace. Have the CM and ministers ever visited the grain purchase centers? He asked the farmers directly on this occasion. He said that the CM’s attention on land purchases and real estate is not on the problems of the farmers. KTR expressed concern that this government is not paying attention when farmers are dying due to sunstroke, lightning, heart attacks and other reasons at the purchase centers.
KTR said that the letter written by Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha shows how much love this government has for farmers. KTR made it clear that all the purchasing centers will be reopened in the coming weeks to encourage farmers. If necessary, he said that he will hold protests at the Tahsildar offices. He said that he will depose the government until the paddy is purchased. In that order, Sircilla MLA KTR announced that he will suffocate this government. (Maxim News)
