Wife, Boyfriend Arrested For Murder Of Husband In Narayankhed

Hyderabad, May 24: A shocking murder case linked to an alleged extramarital affair surfaced in Narayankhed of Sangareddy district, where a woman and her boyfriend were arrested for allegedly murdering her husband and burying his body in a remote area.

According to police, the incident took place in Gangapur village under Narayankhed mandal limits.

The deceased was identified as Muthyam Reddy, who lived with his wife Kalpana and their two daughters. Police said Kalpana was working as a nurse at a private hospital in Narayankhed.

Investigators revealed that Kalpana allegedly developed an extramarital relationship with a man identified as Chintu. Frequent arguments reportedly took place at home after Muthyam Reddy came to know about the affair.

Husband Murdered And Buried In Remote Area

Police said Kalpana, along with her boyfriend, allegedly planned the murder to remove her husband from their lives.

About nine days ago, the accused allegedly took Muthyam Reddy to the outskirts of Elgoi village in Manur mandal and murdered him.

After committing the crime, they reportedly dug a pit and buried the body in an attempt to destroy evidence and avoid suspicion.

When Muthyam Reddy went missing, family members approached the police and a missing case was registered.

During the investigation, police grew suspicious over Kalpana’s behaviour and questioned her repeatedly.

Police Recover Buried Body

Based on technical evidence and interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime.

Police teams later reached the burial site near Elgoi village and exhumed the body on Saturday in the presence of officials.

The body was shifted for postmortem examination while further forensic procedures were carried out.

Police arrested both Kalpana and Chintu in connection with the murder case.

Officials said a detailed investigation is underway to establish the complete sequence of events and collect additional evidence related to the crime.

The incident created shock among residents of Gangapur village and surrounding areas after details of the murder emerged during the investigation.
