Hyderabad, July 29 (Maxim News): In a tragic accident, a woman died after a rashly driven HMWSSB water tanker hit her scooter at Manikonda on Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the victim, identified as Shalini (36), a resident of BRC Apartments, was returning after dropping off her children at school.
As per available information, while Shalini lived with her children in Manikonda, her husband resides in Visakhapatnam, Andhra pradesh. On Tuesday morning, her children, who are students of bharatiya Vidya bhavan, had missed the school bus they were supposed to board.
As a result, Shalini had to drop them off at school on her scooter. After dropping them off, when she reached Manikonda Pipeline Road, a water tanker being driven in a rash and negligent manner hit her scooter. She fell on the road, came under the wheels of the tanker, and died on the spot.
Locals have raised concerns about road safety in Manikonda.
