Woman Ends Life Months After Husband’s Death

Hyderabad: A 58 year old woman died by suicide by jumping into a lake, barely four months after her husband’s death. The incident occurred in Chinna Chinthakunta in Narsapur mandal and left her family in shock.

Akula Lakshmi, a resident of Chinna Chinthakunta, had been in depression since her husband Shivaramulu died four months ago following ill health. The couple had shared more than 40 years of marital life. However, after his death, family members noticed a change in her mental state.

Depression After Husband’s Death in Narsapur Mandal

According to the information available, Lakshmi went missing from her residence on Friday evening. Meanwhile, her family began searching for her. Later, on Saturday morning, her body was found floating in a local lake.

The incident deeply affected the couple’s two children. They lost both parents within a gap of four months. Therefore, the tragedy caused severe emotional distress to the family.

Their son, Sai Teja, lodged a complaint at the Narsapur police station. He stated that his mother was severely depressed after his father’s death and never appeared to recover from it. Following the complaint, the police began legal procedures.

Police Register Case, Investigation Underway

SI Ranjith Kumar registered a case and took up investigation. The police are now looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, the family continues to cope with the sudden loss.
