World Heart Day observed at CARE Hospitals, Nampally
Hyderabad, 29th September (Maxim News): Every year, 29th September is celebrated as World Heart Day around the globe, where individuals, families, communities, and governments around the world participate in activities to take charge of their heart health and that of others. Through this campaign, the World Heart Federation unites people from all countries and backgrounds in the fight against the CVD burden and inspires international action to encourage heart-healthy living across the world.
In order to raise awareness on the importance of World Heart Day, CARE Hospitals, Nampally organized a health awareness session at the hospital. The session was inaugurated by chief guest Mr. Ahmed Pasha Quadri, MLA-Yakutpura & Mirza Riyaz Ul Effendi- MLC, in the presence of Mr. Syed Kamran Husain, HCOO-CARE Hospitals, Nampally, Dr. BKS Sastry – Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Dr.Nirmal Kumar – Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Dr.Aman Salvan – Consultant Cardiologist, Dr. Navin Chand – Medical Superintendent and other doctors of the hospital.
Highlighting the importance of knowing the risk factors, Mr. Ahmed Pasha Quadri MLA-Yakutpura mentioned “At-least 80% of premature deaths from heart disease and stroke could be avoided by controlling risk factors. If you have an underlying health condition, such as heart disease, heart failure, diabetes, high blood pressure or obesity, or you are a heavy drinker or smoker, please get your regular check-ups done and consult the doctor periodically.”
Mr. Mirza Riyaz Ul Effendi- MLC, added “Finding the right balance to keep the heart healthy is a must. Look after your heart by eating a healthy and balanced diet, get enough exercise, reduce alcohol and tobacco intake and keep yourself stress-free and smiling. Overdoing anything can also have serious implications hence keep your routine simple and within the limits of what your body can handle.”
Elaborating on the importance of routine heart screenings, Mr. Syed Kamran Husain, HCOO-CARE Hospitals, Nampally said, “CARE Hospitals have always been going the extra mile to increase the awareness about the importance of heart care among the general public.
