JED Vance spoke to the media on Thursday. ” Just because you get a green card does not mean you have the right to stay in the US forever. This is ot a matter of free speech.  This is a matter of national security.  Most importantly, we as American citizens decide who we want to include,” he commented.

However, according to the law, green cards can be revoked in some cases.  They can be revoked even if they have committed crimes, have not been in the country for a long time, or have not followed immigration rules.  Meanwhile, after Donald Trump took office as the President of the United States, there has been a large-scale debate on immigration policies.  It is in the context that JD Vance’s comments have gained importance.  Trump has already announced a new scheme called ‘Gold Card‘.  It has been revealed that gold cards can be purchased by paying Rs. 44 crores, through which one can obtain US citizenship.
