Vijayawada, Sept. 12 (Maxim News): YouTuber Ramanandana has received another police notice in a cheating case linked to an alleged overseas job fraud.
Police have directed her to appear at Addanki Police Station on August 17. The case concerns an allegation that she took Rs 1.50 lakh from victims by promising jobs in London.
The victims approached the police after they allegedly failed to receive the promised jobs. They also alleged that Ramanandana did not return their money despite repeated requests.
Police registered a case against her at Addanki Police Station on July 4. Now, investigators have issued a fresh notice and directed her to appear for questioning.
London Job Fraud Case Under Investigation
The case centres on allegations that Ramanandana assured the victims of jobs in London. The victims allegedly paid Rs 1.50 lakh based on that assurance.
However, they later alleged that the promised jobs did not materialise. They also claimed that Ramanandana delayed the repayment of the money.
Police have continued their investigation into the allegations. The latest notice requires Ramanandana to appear at the Addanki Police Station on August 17.
The development follows her recent arrival in Hyderabad. Police had earlier detained her after she came to the city.
According to the supplied information, police had issued a lookout notice against her much earlier. After she arrived in Hyderabad, officers took her into custody and questioned her about the case.
Police Question Ramanandana and Her Husband
During questioning, Ramanandana reportedly denied having knowledge of the visa case and allegations involving money collected for jobs.
She reportedly told investigators that her husband knew about those matters. Following her statement, police issued a notice to her husband.
Investigators directed him to appear for questioning as part of the probe. Police are examining the allegations and the roles of those connected with the case.
The latest notice marks another step in the investigation against Ramanandana. Police are expected to record her statement and examine the claims made by the complainants.
