12 Passengers Injured As TGSRTC Bus Hits Lorry

Twelve passengers were injured in a road accident at Sadashiv Palli village in Manakondur mandal on Saturday after a TGSRTC bus collided with a lorry. The bus was traveling from Nizamabad to Warangal when it rammed into the lorry that was moving ahead. The impact left several passengers with injuries and caused panic among others on board.

According to official information, there were 60 passengers in the bus at the time of the crash. Out of them, 12 were injured and taken to the Karimnagar district headquarters hospital by a 108 ambulance. The injured passengers are undergoing treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable. Over-speeding is suspected to be the cause of the incident, though the exact reason will be confirmed after investigation.

Police reached the accident spot soon after receiving information and examined the scene. They registered a case and started investigating to determine whether driver negligence or poor road conditions led to the accident. The bus and the lorry suffered damage in the collision, disrupting traffic for some time before authorities cleared the road.

The incident has once again raised concerns about road safety and the need to enforce strict speed limits on highways. Residents and commuters in the region have urged the authorities to ensure better monitoring and preventive measures to avoid such accidents. The police investigation is ongoing.
