To check the pollution levels in the city, government is planning to purchase 500 electric buses, said Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday.
He said the conventional diesel buses would be removed in a phased manner and GHMC has already pressed electric vehicles into service for its garbage collection, he said.
