6 Months Imprisonment If Found Drunk And Driving

Hyderabad, Dec 18 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Police has warned that cases will be registered if drunk driving in the background of New Year celebrations, if found drunk and driving, a fine of Rs.10,000 and 6 months imprisonment will be imposed. If minors are caught driving a vehicle, action will be taken against the owner of the vehicle. Owners should arrange parking at pubs and star hotels.

Warnings have been issued that strict action will be taken if minors are allowed in pubs. He warned that alcohol should be sold only within the time specified by the Excise department and strict action would be taken if violated. Organizers have been advised to take police permission 10 days in advance for New Year events. (Maxim News)
