76th NCC Day Celebrations At Mehdipatnam Garrison Grounds

Secunderabad, 24 Nov 2024: The 76th NCC Day was celebrated by the NCC Directorate Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with great enthusiasm at the Mehdipatnam Garrison Grounds, marking a momentous occasion for the National Cadet Corps (NCC). The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Air Commodore VM Reddy, Deputy Director General, NCC Directorate Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, who acknowledged the significant contributions of NCC cadets and personnel in various domains.

The celebrations began with a grand parade of NCC cadets, showcasing their discipline, precision, and dedication. The parade was followed by a spectacular horse show, highlighting the traditional skills of equestrian excellence. Cultural performances by NCC cadets further added to the festive spirit of the event, displaying a blend of rich traditions and modern creativity.

The DDG took the opportunity to recognize and reward the outstanding achievements of various cadets and NCC personnel. During his address, he lauded the performance and hard work of the NCC fraternity, emphasizing their role in nation-building. The 76th NCC Day celebrations were a resounding success, reflecting the spirit of dedication, discipline, and patriotism that the NCC embodies.

The Colonel PLN Choudary Medal, instituted by the family of the first Director of the erstwhile AP Circle (now NCC Directorate AP&T), was awarded to Cadet Sreesant in the Junior Division/Junior Wing (JD/JW) category and Cadet Akansha Bhosle in the Senior Division/Senior Wing (SD/SW) category.
