80 Girl Students Of Govt School Hospitalised Due To Food Poisoning

Singanamala/ Hyderabad, Dec 3 (Maxim News): About 80 girl students of Singanamala Kasturba Government Residential School fell sick and complained of stomach pain, vomiting and dysentery after consuming puffed rice and unsafe drinking water on Friday evening.

The incident came to light late at night on Friday, when the students were rushed to the local government hospital for treatment. However about 30 students were referred to Government headquarters hospital in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh

All the students are under treatment for food poisoning. Hospital sources stated that they will be discharged. After learning of the incident Singanamala Tahsildar Eshwaramma, MPDO Nirmala Kukmari and MEO Narasimha Raju and school management rushed the students to Government hospital for treatment and monitored the situation.
