Child Dies After Falling Into Nala: Mayor Angry

Hyderabad, April 29 (Maxim News):  GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi visited the area where a child died after falling into a canal in Kalasiguda, Secunderabad. 

She inquired about the conditions there from the field officials.  She expressed her anger on the authorities as to why caution boards were not set up in the danger areas.  She said that action will be taken against the negligent contractor and officials.  

The Mayor has sought a details report on the incident and assured us to take action as soon as the details come.  She said that no one should disobey the orders given by the authorities in case of work.  She warned that action will be taken against such people if the heavy fencing set up by GHMC is removed.  He also assured that Baby’s family will be supported by GHMC.

A tragedy took place when a manhole cover was left open and a child fell into the drainage.  The DRF personnel who came to know about the matter searched for the child and found the dead body of the child at the park line.  The incident took place this morning when the child went out for a packet of milk.  The parents were worried when the baby did not return after going for milk.  The parents are crying after learning about the death of the baby after falling into the manhole.  The deceased child was studying 4th standard in a local school.  The body of the child was shifted to Gandhi’s mortuary.  (Maxim News)
