Many Problems In Tribal Areas, Efforts On To Solve It, Says Governor
Hyderabad, May 20 (Maxim News): Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that there are many problems in the tribal and adivasi areas of the state and she is solving the problems within her scope.
She said that she is visiting tribal areas, providing nutritional food and working to organise medical camps through the Red Cross. National SC Commission chairman Harsha Chauhan, Member Ananth Naik and Governor Tamilisai met with tribes and tribals at Raj Bhavan.
On this occasion, Koya, gutti Koya along with professors and law graduates explained their problems to the Governor under the guidance of Bhadrachalam Development Forum Coordinator Vithal. Later, the Governor said that there is a need to build a super specialty hospital with 200 beds in Bhadrachalam. This will be very useful for the people of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh states.
Governor said that she visited Nagar Kurnool, Adilabad and Mulugu districts and took the cooperation of the officials of the National Institute of Nutrition to provide nutritional food to the public living in Nallamala forest areas.
Chairman of the National SC Commission, Harsha Chauhan, said that he asked the tribal representatives to send the petitions given to the central and state governments on tribal and adivasi issues to the commission as well. He said that tribal issues have been brought to the notice of the President. Meanwhile, Adivasi Welfare Parishad leader Chimpariah said that although there are many laws for tribals and adivasis, they are not being implemented.
