Big Shock To BRS: Bhadradri ZP Chairman, 56 Sarpanches, 26 MPTCs Resign From The Party
Bhadradri/Hyderabad, July 1 (Maxim News): In a major setback to the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Bhadradri ZP chairman Koram Kanakaiah has resigned from BRS, Along with Kanakaiah, his followers also submitted their resignations from the party. One ZPTC, 56 sarpanches, and 26 MPTCs resigned in five Mandals of the Illandu constituency.
Later, in a media conference held at the ZP camp office in Illandu, Kanakaiah announced that he will join the Congress party along with former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy in the Congress meeting to be held in Khammam on July 2. It has been revealed that thousands of people from 5 Mandals of the Illandu constituency will attend this meeting.
Local BRS leaders and activists have been expressing impatience that Koram Kanakaiah has been close to former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy for some time now. In this background, they are demanding to resign from the post of ZP Chairman. However, Kanakaiah has also been throwing a challenge at the same level saying that he is not asking them to resign. In the wake of these developments, Koram Kanakaiah has announced that he is resigning not from the post of ZP Chairman but only from the party. (Maxim News)
