New Delhi, Oct. 2: The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced a Trip Pass facility for Namo Bharat train passengers. The new facility offers discounts of up to 10% on every trip. It also helps daily commuters avoid queues for tickets.
The Trip Pass allows passengers to purchase multiple trips in advance between two fixed stations. It works like a bulk travel pass and suits regular commuters travelling to offices, schools and colleges.
Namo Bharat Trip Pass: Validity, Discounts And Booking
The Trip Pass remains valid only between the two selected stations. For example, passengers travelling from Begumpet to Sarai Kale Khan can use the pass only on that route. However, passengers travelling to other stations must pay the regular fare through their NCMC Global Wallet.
Passengers can purchase Trip Passes at counters near the Automatic Fare Collection gates at Namo Bharat stations. They can also use Electronic Fare Offices and Ticket Vending Machines to top up their trips.
The facility covers both standard and premium coaches. Moreover, passengers can choose passes based on their travel needs, with validity options ranging from one or two weeks to 1, 40 trips.
Passengers purchasing a 10 trip pass cannot claim a refund. However, those purchasing 15, 20 or 40 trip passes can seek refunds. An administrative charge of Rs. 200 applies to refunds.
The facility also offers loyalty benefits to NCMC card users. Passengers earn one loyalty point for every Rs. 1 spent on Namo Bharat trains. Each point carries a value of Rs. 0.10, while 300 points can be redeemed for a free ride.
The Trip Pass aims to simplify daily travel by reducing the need to purchase QR tickets or recharge wallets repeatedly. It also helps regular passengers save time and travel costs.
