A New, state-of-the-art, OP Tibrewala Board Room Inaugurated at FTCCI

Hyderabad: A New 16-seater, the state-of-the-art Omprakash Tibrewala Board Room was inaugurated on Tuesday morning at FTCCI. It was set up by OP Tibrewala Foundation in the loving memory of the late Shri Omprakash Tibrewala, the past president of FTCCI, who associated with it for 30 years.

The BoardRoom was inaugurated amidst the presence of FTCCI’s galaxy of Past Presidents, MC Members and Family Members of the Omprakash Tibrewala by Mr Anil Agarwal, President of FTCCI, Mr Arun Luharuka, Past President of FTCCI and a relative of Tibrewala family and Mr Abhishek Tibrewala, grandson of late Shri OP Tibrewala and Trustee of OP Tibrewala Foundation.

Mr Omprakash Tibrewala, who according to Arun Luharuka must have come to Hyderabad without even buying a ticket or might be with a very paltry amount in hand. He used to sell clothes on bicycles. By the time of his demise, he was a well-known personality in the city.

Anil Agarwal said though I didn’t have an opportunity to work with him, I know him as a committed and dedicated industrialist and philanthropist.

Speaking further he said any amount of infrastructure development is insufficient as FTCCI is the voice of the industry. It has a legacy of 106 years of excellence. And he thanked OP Tibrewala Foundation for giving it a state-of-the-art, 16-seater, Board Room.  OP Tibrewala was deeply associated with FTCCI for well over 30 years.

Philanthropy was in his blood, said Arun Luharuka.  In his last days, he used to feed 1200 poor people every day.  He was a major donor to Akshayapathra.  He voluntarily offered his services on how to reduce costs so that it could serve more.

Another Past President of FTCCI Shekhar Agarwal recalled his yeoman services to the society and said that he was a taskmaster. He always gave his best.

Khyati Naravane, CEO of FTCCI said FTCCI organises well over 120 events per year besides many others using its conference facilities.  The New Board Room adds up to its infrastructure and goes a long way.
