TSRTC Bus Charges Surge Immediate After Announcing The Merger

Hyderabad, Aug 1 (Maxim News): Immediately after the Cabinet took the decision to merge the TSRTC with the government and treat the 43,373  Corporation employees as government employees, the bus charges have been increased putting the burden on the common people.  

The TSRTC has increased the day bus pass charges in the city.  The day pass of Rs. 100 has been increased to Rs. 120.  Earlier the day pass for women and senior citizens was Rs. 80, now it is Rs. 100.  When it was Rs. 80 and Rs. 100,  the day pass was well received by the people.   with the increase of day passes to Rs. 120 only 25 thousand were sold per day.  During the day pass of Rs. 80, the Corporation used to sell up to 40 thousand per day.  Passengers say that the bad days of the Corporation has been started with the increased ticket prices again.  

It may be recalled that the state government has taken a key decision keeping in view the forthcoming Assembly elections are approaching. TSRC has decided to recognize the workers as government employees.  The government has taken this decision keeping in view the many demands made by the TSRTC staff for a long time, with this, 43,373 workers working in TSRTC across the state will become government employees.  The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday approved this.   (Maxim News)
