High Court Issued Notices To Govt. For Allotting Five Acres Of Land At Budvel At Ra. 1 Per Acre

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (Maxim News) The High Court of Telangana has issued notices to the state government for the allotment of five acres of land at Budvel in Rajendranagar Mandal of Ranga Reddy district to the Raja Bahadur Venkatrama Reddy Educational Society at the rate of Rs. 1 per acre  It has been directed to the file a counter with full details of how the land allocations are justified.

Secunderabad-based social activist Koteswara Rao and another filed a Public Interest Litigation challenging the G.O 195 issued on September 9, 2018, allotting five acres of land in survey No. 325/3/2 in Buydvel.  A bench comprising Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Vinod Kumar took up the hearing.  The Advocate for the petitions, Chikudu Prabhakar, while hearing the arguments, said that even though the G.O. was issued in 2018, it did not come out.  He said that he approached the Court after coming out for a few days.  

Advocate General BS Prasad said that there are sufficient reasons for the allotment of land and he will file a counter with full details on this.  With this, the bench issued notices and adjourned the hearing for 4 weeks. (Maxim News)
