Mynampally Hanumantha Rao Sent Resignation Letter To KCR

Hyderabad, Sept 23 (Maxim News): Malkajgiri MLA of ruling BRS, Mynampally Hanumantha Rao who announced that he was saying goodbye to the party in the form of a video yesterday, now he has sent an official letter of resignation to BRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Mynampally stated in his resignation letter that he is refusing the Malkajgiri Assembly ticket, he is resigning from the party.

He stated in the resignation letter, “I am resigning from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party. I rejected my constituency Malkajigiri assembly ticket. I have taken this decision after much discussion and consultation with my supporters and constituents. I joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party in 2014 when headwinds were blowing in the Malkajigiri Lok Sabha seat without a single corporator in GHMC with the aim of fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Telangana. I worked hard for the party and the people. Thank you for recognizing my efforts as the Greater Hyderabad District President for the party’s victory in the 2016 GHMC elections and for giving me the opportunity to become an MLC and then an MLA.

However, I am deeply disappointed and depressed with the recent developments in the party. There is no democracy or transparency in its functioning. The party leadership is grassroots activists, Ignoring the views of the leaders and taking unilateral decisions without any consultation or consensus. The change of name from TRS to BRS against the will of the party ranks is proof of this. The futile efforts to expand into neighboring states diverted the party’s focus from the development of Telangana. The disconnect between the party, the people, and its own cadre in the selection of many candidates is facing strong opposition from their constituencies and even from the party cadre.

On a personal level, I have serious differences with the senior leaders of the party who are spreading false and malicious propaganda against me in the media and social media. That is why I decided to resign from the BRS party and reject the Assembly ticket announced for me. Losing his sense of direction, and identity, I cannot continue to be a part of a party that has become a puppet in the hands of a few power-hungry people. I cannot betray the trust and confidence of the people of my constituency who elected me with a huge majority. I cannot compromise on my principles, values, and commitment to service which I have followed throughout my political career.

I request you to please accept my resignation, remove me from all the responsibilities and positions I am holding in the party, and withdraw my name from your party’s list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections. Thank you for your cooperation and support in the past. (Maxim News)
