Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 20 (Maxim News): The Supreme Court of India, has given a big shock to the ruling BRS headed by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who has filed the petition seeking cancellation of car-like symbol in the ballot paper, saying that this petition cannot be heard.
The bench of Justice Abhay S.Okha and Justice Pankaj Mishra said that during the previous by-election, the High Court dismissed the petition, saying that being the ruling party, how can they come late by 240 days? The bench ruled that the petition could not be heard
When the lawyers on behalf of the BRS requested to give them an opportunity to go to the High Court, the Judges said that they could go to the High Court if they wanted. However, the Supreme Court clarified that there would be no trial based on merits. (Maxim News)
