Osmania University Hosts “Study Abroad Fair” to Expand Student Horizons

Hyderabad, Nov 23 (Maxim News)  Osmania University’s Human Capital Development Centre (HCDC), in collaboration with the Global Education & Careers Forum (GECF), organized a groundbreaking “Study Abroad Fair” at the University College of Engineering, Osmania University today. 

The fair was graced by the presence of several distinguished figures, including Senior Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education, Senior Prof. P. Laxminarayana, Registrar of Osmania University, Senior Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, Principal of University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Prof. C.V. Ranjani, Director of Human Capital Development Centre, Osmania University, Dr. P. Muralidhar Reddy, Coordinator of HCDC,  Lakshmi Narayanan, Secretary of GECF, Representatives from 39 esteemed universities spanning the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and France were also attended,

The fair drew the participation of over 800 students from various colleges across the state of Telangana, demonstrating the immense interest in pursuing higher education abroad. Prof. C.V. Ranjani, Director of HCDC, OU, welcomed all participants and encouraged them to explore the diverse study-abroad options presented at the event. She emphasized that the fair was inclusive and catered to students from all disciplines, including Commerce, Engineering, Management, Arts & Social Sciences, and Sciences.

 Lakshmi Narayanan, Secretary of GECF, provided an overview of GECF’s activities and introduced the participating universities. Senior Prof. P. Laxminarayana, Registrar, OU, shared valuable insights on obtaining visas and various study-abroad options.  Senior Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, Principal, University College of Engineering, OU, expressed gratitude to HCDC and GECF for organizing the fair and commended GECF for providing free IELTS training to Osmania University students.

The Chief Guest, Senior Prof. R. Limbadri, Chairman of the Telangana State Council for Higher Education, lauded HCDC and GECF for their commendable initiative. He highlighted the significance of study abroad programs in broadening students’ horizons and preparing them for global careers. He also noted that Osmania University has a strong legacy of producing outstanding alumni who are making a mark worldwide, and such fairs play a crucial role in supporting the aspirations of students seeking international education opportunities.

Dr. P. Muralidhar Reddy, in delivering the formal vote of thanks, expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of HCDC and GECF in making the fair a resounding success.
