AICC Issues Show Cause Notice To Shabbir Ali Over Remarks On Women

Hyderabad, June 13: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) issued a show cause notice to senior Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir after an audio clip allegedly containing derogatory remarks against women surfaced and circulated widely.

The party leadership reportedly took serious note of the matter and sought an explanation from Shabbir Ali over comments that were alleged to have affected the party’s public image.

According to party sources, the audio clip also referred to remarks involving Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud. The issue triggered concern among Congress leaders after the clip spread on social media.

The AICC disciplinary committee issued the notice and directed Shabbir Ali to submit his response. The party also expressed concern over internal matters being discussed publicly.

Meanwhile, political tensions within the Congress unit in Kamareddy district have intensified.

Differences between groups associated with Shabbir Ali and local leader Chandrasekhar Reddy have continued to surface publicly in recent weeks.

In a related development, former municipal chairperson Gaddam Indupriya reportedly approached the police and alleged that false information and criticism were being circulated against her by individuals linked to internal party disputes.

These developments have added to ongoing tensions within the district Congress unit as disciplinary action and factional disagreements continue to draw attention.
