Hyderabad, June 13: The Telangana Police received national recognition from the Ministry of External Affairs for its performance in passport and police verification services during 2025–26.
The Ministry selected the Telangana Police for the Institutional Performance Award for delivering outstanding services in the verification of passport applications.
Joint Secretary and Chief Passport Officer BS Mubarak conveyed the decision through an official communication to Director General of Police C V Anand.
Telangana Police Honoured for Passport Services
The award will be presented during Passport Seva Diwas and the Passport Officers Conference scheduled on June 18 and 19 at Jawaharlal Nehru Bhavan in New Delhi.
Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will present the award to DGP C V Anand on June 19.
According to the DGP, the recognition reflects the department’s technology driven verification system, faster service delivery, and citizen focused approach.
He said the award highlights the service standards and professional efficiency of the Telangana Police and will encourage the department to strengthen public services further.
