Seven Arrested in Murder of Mohammed Tariq Ali

Hyderabad, December 22: In a swift operation, the Hyderabad Police arrested seven individuals and one juvenile on December 22nd in connection with the brutal murder of a 39-year-old real estate professional, Mohd. Tariq Ali. The arrests were made at 10:30 am by the IS Sadan Police Station under the South East Zone.

Addressing a media on Friday, DCP B. Rohith Raju said that Mr. Ali was viciously attacked with deadly weapons in the early hours of December 19th, at around 3:00 am, near his residence in Ram Chandra Nagar, Edi Bazar. The assailants, driven by a longstanding enmity, inflicted fatal injuries upon the victim.

Unmasking the Perpetrators:

Through meticulous investigation and based on credible information, the police apprehended six of the accused near Burhane Shah Dargah graveyard in Santoshnagar on December 21st.

Following this, the remaining two individuals, including the juvenile, were nabbed on the morning of December 22nd.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Mohd. Mazhar @ Chotu (24 years old);Shaik Muzammil @ Shaik Mubeen (21 years old)
Kaleem Khan (23 years old); Mohd. Afroz Siddiqui (30 years old);Khaled Osman Ansari (21 years old);Mohd. Amer (20 years old);One unnamed juvenile.

Motive Behind the Brutal Act:

The investigation revealed that the motive behind the heinous crime stemmed from a business dispute related to the purchase and sale of PDS rice. The accused and the victim, all residents of Santoshnagar, had a violent altercation at a local bar in October 2023.

This incident escalated tensions, leading the accused to demand a monthly extortion payment of Rs. 1 lakh from Mr. Ali. When the victim refused to comply, the assailants resorted to the tragic act of murder.

All the accused confessed their involvement in the crime and are expected to be presented before the Hon’ble Court soon, DCP B. Rohith Raju, further added.

Under the diligent supervision of Dy. Commissioner of Police, South East Zone, B. Rohith Raju, and led by Inspector of Police, S. Mallesh, with the support of Sub-Inspector of Police, M. Mahesh, and other officers from the IS Sadan Police Station, the investigation progressed swiftly. (Maxim News)
