HMWSSB Officials in ACB Net: Rs. One Lakh Bribery

Hyderabad, March 15 (Maxim News): L.Rakesh, Sr. Asst., Finance & Accounts Section O/o the CGM (E), Revenue Circle, HMWS & SB, Khairatabad, Hyderabad was caught by ACB, City Range -I Unit when he demanded and accepted the bribe amount of Rs 1,00,000/- from the complainant  Akber Hussain r/o Hyderabad for showing official favor i.e. “to clear the pending bills of January and February and also to renew the lease license of the complainant “. The AO-1 in turn handed over the bribe amount to A-2 Sandeep who is an out-sourcing employee. The Accused Officers thereby performed their public duty improperly and dishonestly.

The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of A-2 at his instance. The fingers of both the hands of AO-1 and A-2 yielded positive results in the chemical test. The contact portion i.e. right side front pocket of A-2’s pants yielded positive results in the chemical test.

The AO-1: L. Rakesh, and  Sandeep were arrested and produced before the Prl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Court at Nampally, Hyderabad. The Case is under investigation. (Maxim News)
