Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 8 (Maxim News): AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi, fiercely criticized the Waqf Board Amendment Bill-2024 introduced in the Lok Sabha today, alleging that the bill is a divisive move aimed at stripping Muslims of their authority over the management of Waqf properties and assets. He accused the BJP of being the enemy of Muslims and deliberately working to divide the country.

Asaduddin Owaisi Strong Opposition in Parliament

During the discussion on the Waqf Board Amendment Bill-2024 in Parliament, Asaduddin Owaisi stated that AIMIM strongly opposes the bill, arguing that it violates Articles 14, 15, and 25 of the Constitution. “This bill is discriminatory and one-sided,” he asserted. According to Owaisi, the Central government is attempting to divide the country through this legislation. He further claimed that the bill serves as clear evidence of the BJP’s hostility towards Muslims.

Allegations of Constitutional Violations

Owaisi argued that the Waqf Amendment Bill undermines the principle of judicial independence and the separation of powers, calling it “discriminatory and arbitrary in nature.” He warned that passing this bill would violate religious freedom and fundamental rights, particularly those enshrined in Article 25. “This bill makes it impossible to donate property in the name of Allah, and it is an attempt to grab the properties of Dargahs and mosques,” Owaisi stated, making sharp criticisms against the ruling government.
