WATCH | Attack On Muslim-Owned Shops During Hindutva Rally at Zaheerabad
Hyderabad, Oct 24 (Maxim News): In a disturbing incident that has shaken the communal harmony of Zaheerabad, a predominantly peaceful town, a mob belonging to the communal forces went on a rampage, targeting Muslim-owned businesses. The violence erupted during a protest rally organized by right-wing Hindu groups, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ostensibly to protect their religious beliefs.

The mob, which had gathered at Bhavani Mandir, turned violent as it marched towards the Tehsil office. They specifically targeted the Starlite Hotel, which was being prepared for its grand opening. The mob pelted the hotel with stones, causing significant damage. They also vandalized a nearby mobile shop.
Despite the presence of the police, the mob carried out their attacks with impunity. The police, who were deployed to maintain law and order, remained mere spectators as the violence unfolded.

Qaisar, the owner of the Starlite Hotel, along with several Muslim youths, approached the Zaheerabad police station to file a complaint against the perpetrators. They expressed their deep concern about the rising communal tensions in the town.
Zaheerabad has long been known for its communal harmony and coexistence of different religious communities. However, recent incidents like these have raised fears that these fragile bonds are being tested.
