Drunk Man Attempts Attack On Traffic Cops At Champapet

Hyderabad: A man in an inebriated state attempted to attack traffic police officers during a drunk and drive checking at Champapet on Saturday night.

The man was driving a scooter when a team of Mirchowk police who were conducting checking stopped him at Champapet. A breathalyzer test confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol.

When the police tried to seize the vehicle, the man became aggressive, disturbing the road. At one point in time, he picked up a stone and tried to attack the policemen. The man also tried to set the vehicle on fire.

The traffic police eventually seized and transported the vehicle to the police station. A case has been registered against the man for drunk driving.
