Only 2.50 lakh candidates who secure the minimum score in JEE Main will be eligible to write the advanced exam. In the current academic year, 17,695 B.Tech and Bachelor of Science (BS) seats are available in 23 IITs nationwide. A few more seats are likely to increase in the next academic year
(2025-26).

JEE Advanced will be held in two shifts; the first paper will be from 9 am to 12 noon, and the second paper from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

The JEE Advanced 2025 registration process will likely begin in April following the announcement of the JEE Main result. The candidates can apply for JEE Advanced 2025 on the official website- jeeadv.ac.in. To apply for JEE Advanced 2025, candidates can visit the official website- jeeadv.ac.in.

Click on the JEE Advanced 2025 application process link and enter details in the registration form. Pay the JEE Advanced 2025 application fee and click on submit. Save the JEE Advanced 2025 application form pdf and take a printout.

Application fee:

JEE Advanced 2025 application fee for general category candidates is Rs 3,200, while Rs 1,600 for female and reserved category candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. paper (Paper I) of JEE (Main) 2025.

The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are as follows: 10 percent for GEN-EWS, 27 percent for OBC-NCL, 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST, and the remaining 40.5 percent is OPEN for all. Within each of these five categories, 5 percent horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.
