KTR is accused of irregularities in the organization of the Formula-E car race held in Hyderabad. It seems that funds were paid to the organizing company in foreign currency before the agreement. The state Municipal Administration and Urban Development Authority has complained to the ACB to investigate this, saying that it is against the rules. Without the permission of HMDA, Rs. 46 crores were paid to this car company in foreign currency.
With this, the ACP wrote a letter to the government last month seeking permission to register an FIR against KTR and the then Municipal Administration Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar. It seems that the Governor gave permission only after taking legal advice. Notices have already been sent to Municipal Administration Commissioner Arvind Kumar regarding this Formula-E car race. The ACB has also questioned the chief engineer. Now, with the Governor;s approval, the case is about to take another turn.
